Recording – collect travel times every 15 minutes

Queue Length & VMS

Measure queue length (higher Google cost)

Uses Google's slow / stopped traffic bands along the route to estimate the queue. Charged at Google's higher rate, so only turn on where it's needed. Put Point A far enough back to cover the longest expected queue.

Polling

Standard polling: every 15 minutes (:00, :15, :30, :45).

Dynamic polling – poll faster while a queue is detected (extra Google requests)

Poll every Start when queue is at least (m)

Dynamic polling starts when the measured queue reaches this length and returns to 15 minutes once the queue drops below it. Only the queuing period costs extra.
